Fire Cider

  Fire Cider has been made for centuries, if not much longer. It isn't really a tincture and there is a word for what it is, but I can't think of it right now so I will just call it a potion. It is supposed to boost the immune system, help with digestion, ease colds and keep you warm on those cold days of winter.  I never make it exactly the same, but there are key ingredients I use every time. Apple cider vinegar is the main ingredient. I always use organic unfiltered. The other key ingredients are horseradish, garlic, onion, peel and juice of a citrus fruit and some sort of hot pepper powder.   I always use horseradish root, but apparently there is also a powdered form that can be used. Normally I buy it on the internet and it is slightly expensive, but you don't need much and can freeze the rest for future use. Flying Ointment, part 1

 This ointment is said to help facilitate astral projection. The original recipe I found in my Witches Date Book, but I like to change recipes and make them my own so I made a couple changes, but the basic ingredients are the same. It said it is best done either during a new moon or full moon. I had originally planned to do it last full moon, but things were stressful at that time and so I waited and did it under the new moon of February 20th.  I decided to use a small canning jar, it will end up in a cosmetic jar eventually. I started with 3 small amethyst stones. These were not in the original recipe and is something I added. Amethyst is said to help open your third eye and 3 is a magical number for myself and many others. Next I added a heaping spoonful and mugwort and one of woodworm then poured in sweet almost oil making sure they were completely covered. The other thing I changed was the oil.
