 A lot of times I buy cards because they look pretty and are on sale. That doesn't always work out. Case in point these astrology oracle cards.  These seemed interesting. First you randomly pick a sign. That goes in the first house and then you put the others in order from there. Next you pick the planet and put it in the proper house for the question you are asking, you look up the sign and planet and it gives you the meaning. A very vague meaning! For example, I asked if I should look for a summer job. The response was "if you work hard you will succeed." Duh! That is normally the case. The two other questions I asked didn't have any better answer.  So I still think these are pretty cards, but I give them thumbs down for actually being useful! 

  Today I used a deck called Pagan Cats. I really enjoy the feel of this deck and it was a gift from a dear friend which I think makes it more special.  When I was young I would do a large spread of cards, but it has been a long time so right now I am sticking to the 3 card spread, past, present and future.  My first question was just about how 2023 in general would be. My cards were 5 of wands, the magician and 7 of chalice (or cups). Honestly, this is one I need to think about for a while. I am not quite sure how to interpret it. Possibly the question was too general. I may ask again if it doesn't start to make sense to me.  My next question was a bit more specific, how will my work life go this year. This is what I got: The past card is judgement, which is so right on! Something happened last time I worked due to my lack of focus at that moment and it was judged as being bad (which it should have been). I don't want to go into it more than that, as I still am upse...

  I have started this new blog in hopes of keeping my experiments and experiences with the metaphysical aspect of my life in one place and not contaminating it with all kinds of other stuff. Sort of like a record for myself since nobody really seems to visit my blogs these days.  I don't make resolutions, but each new year there are new things I want to try and work on. This is what I want to study and learn more about this year: 1) Candle magic 2) Tarot and Rune readings  3) Start and scrapbook like Grimoire 4) Try to meditate more often and trying different types of meditation Of course, I will continue with my normal obsessions as well, such as collecting crystals, trying new spells and rituals, crafty things and UFO/alien related stuff!  Photo is of my first crystal purchase on 2023, a lovely Lemurian crystal which I plan to make into a pendant.  I wish everyone a wonderful 2023, full of health and everything that makes them happy!
