  Every day since 2020 I post something I consider pretty or cute on Facebook when I first login for the day. It is never a meme it is artwork, scenic pictures or animals. I started doing this in 2020 because people always commented that these images made their day better during Covid lockdown. The above image is what I had planned to post today. However, for some reason when I went to post to Facebook my mind went blank and I somehow ended up posting this meme: About an hour later, I went to my page and thought WTF did I post that? That isn't what I meant to post! It was only after that when I was scrolling through facebook that I found out the original Wednesday, Lisa Loring had passed away! I loved Lisa Loring on the Addams Family when I was growing up! Just seemed like a strange coincidence to me. 

  I did my first Rune reading today! I am a beginner, but it seems like a good reading!  I suppose it is kind of strange to be using cards instead of stone Runes, but I received these cards in my Tamed Wild subscription box a few months back and fell in love with them! My favorite thing about this deck is I don't have to look through a book to find the meaning of the card, I just flip it over. There is the name, description, charge, history and lore, chakra, element, tarot cards with similar meanings and an invocation. I especially like the tarot references because then I can sort of cross reference if I think I am not getting the meaning. The bad part is it has so much info that the writing is tiny and I need my strong reading glasses! 

  Today I used a deck called Pagan Cats. I really enjoy the feel of this deck and it was a gift from a dear friend which I think makes it more special.  When I was young I would do a large spread of cards, but it has been a long time so right now I am sticking to the 3 card spread, past, present and future.  My first question was just about how 2023 in general would be. My cards were 5 of wands, the magician and 7 of chalice (or cups). Honestly, this is one I need to think about for a while. I am not quite sure how to interpret it. Possibly the question was too general. I may ask again if it doesn't start to make sense to me.  My next question was a bit more specific, how will my work life go this year. This is what I got: The past card is judgement, which is so right on! Something happened last time I worked due to my lack of focus at that moment and it was judged as being bad (which it should have been). I don't want to go into it more than that, as I still am upset about it.

 

  I have started this new blog in hopes of keeping my experiments and experiences with the metaphysical aspect of my life in one place and not contaminating it with all kinds of other stuff. Sort of like a record for myself since nobody really seems to visit my blogs these days.  I don't make resolutions, but each new year there are new things I want to try and work on. This is what I want to study and learn more about this year: 1) Candle magic 2) Tarot and Rune readings  3) Start and scrapbook like Grimoire 4) Try to meditate more often and trying different types of meditation Of course, I will continue with my normal obsessions as well, such as collecting crystals, trying new spells and rituals, crafty things and UFO/alien related stuff!  Photo is of my first crystal purchase on 2023, a lovely Lemurian crystal which I plan to make into a pendant.  I wish everyone a wonderful 2023, full of health and everything that makes them happy!
