Fire Cider

Image
Fire Cider has been made for centuries, if not much longer. It isn't really a tincture and there is a word for what it is, but I can't think of it right now so I will just call it a potion. It is supposed to boost the immune system, help with digestion, ease colds and keep you warm on those cold days of winter.  I never make it exactly the same, but there are key ingredients I use every time. Apple cider vinegar is the main ingredient. I always use organic unfiltered. The other key ingredients are horseradish, garlic, onion, peel and juice of a citrus fruit and some sort of hot pepper powder.   I always use horseradish root, but apparently there is also a powdered form that can be used. Normally I buy it on the internet and it is slightly expensive, but you don't need much and can freeze the rest for future use. This year I used orange peel and juice instead of lime for something new. Of course I used NM red Chile powder!  Other ingredients I added were ginger...

New Year Tarot

Image
Today I used a deck called Pagan Cats. I really enjoy the feel of this deck and it was a gift from a dear friend which I think makes it more special.  When I was young I would do a large spread of cards, but it has been a long time so right now I am sticking to the 3 card spread, past, present and future.  My first question was just about how 2023 in general would be. My cards were 5 of wands, the magician and 7 of chalice (or cups). Honestly, this is one I need to think about for a while. I am not quite sure how to interpret it. Possibly the question was too general. I may ask again if it doesn't start to make sense to me.  My next question was a bit more specific, how will my work life go this year. This is what I got: The past card is judgement, which is so right on! Something happened last time I worked due to my lack of focus at that moment and it was judged as being bad (which it should have been). I don't want to go into it more than that, as I still am upse...

Sage Goddess Labradorite Plate

Image
For the second time in recent months I had a dream about a magical crystal. Last time it was a rainbow fluorite tower or wand and this time it was a coaster sized larbradorite plate.   This is the part of the dream that I remember. Something could have went on prior to it, but I don't remember that if it did. I am sitting outside, upstairs on my yoga mat. In front of me on the mat is the labradorite plate and I am staring at it. I don't know if it was some sort of meditation or why I was doing that, but I felt that I had been doing it for a while, not hours, but like 20 minutes or more. Suddenly a white beam shoots out of the stone! It is similar to a laser beam and it shoots out about 4 to 6 inches. In the dream I am so happy! I was so happy that I actually woke up and thought wow, that was cool and immediately fell back to sleep. I don't know what time that happened and if I woke up 15 minutes later or hours later, but when I did I immediately remembered the dream. Th...
